Putting myself out there!

As a result of the Covid pandemic, I don’t think anyone can deny that 2020 was a particularly strange and challenging year. Everyone has been affected in one way or another, whether it’s personally or professionally. Sometimes it’s been negative, sometimes positive and often a mixture of both. Surprisingly, I’m thankful for 2020 as it gave me focus, time to reflect on my business and ultimately where I want to be in the future.

I’ve been a PA for the past 20 years, the majority of which have been spent working closely with senior executives and business leaders so I’m used to pressure, challenging schedules and a fast paced environment. I’m passionate about being a PA, it’s part of my DNA, but I’m definitely more comfortable behind the scenes, supporting others in achieving their goals. The thought of ‘putting myself out there’ is actually pretty terrifying!

As a PA, my product offering is me (no pressure!) and, after a recommendation from a close friend and some of my own research, I reached out to Elevate with Liz, Page+Looker and byRosanna to work with me. They were incredibly supportive in helping me to identify what was important to me and therefore, what was important to my brand.

The whole process took me out of my comfort zone but I would definitely recommend it. If you are thinking about making yourself or your business more visible then spend time on your branding. Do your research, find experts who put you at ease and can articulate your vision (even when you can’t) and go for it!
